Dorothy M. Tirpak, 88 died Thursday February 4, 2010 at Care One, Wall. Born in Newark, she lived in Irvington and Menlo Park prior to moving to Middletown in 1968.
Dorothy graduated from the Women's Vocational School in Newark and worked for Montgomery Ward and Sears-Roebucks, both in New York City. Mrs. Tirpak was also a homemaker and parishioner of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Colts Neck.
She was predeceased by her husband John J. Tirpak, Jr. in 1990, son Robert Dennis Tirpak, son-in-law Nicholas Ortense, and brother Charles Phillips.
Surviving is her son John J. Tirpak, III and his wife Geraldine, of Wall, daughter Janet Ortense, of Manchester, sister Rose Gambo, of New Brunswick, 4 grandchildren, Sharon Collins, John J. Tirpak, 4th, Nicholas Ortense, and Danielle Brandt, and 7 great grandchildren.
